"Very clean and welcoming. Adorable and sensible tiny homes. Fridge and cupboards stocked for breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs, bread, yogurt… walk to the fence and pet the sweet cow. Sat in the hot tub and sipped some cab. We were genuinely sad to leave! Thank you!!"

"My wife and I spent two nights with Andy & Pip at the lodge at the start of our New Zealand vacation. They were great hosts, picked us up at the ferry dock, helped guide us with local transportation options (take advantage of the bus system to the local wineries) and Pip provided a wonderful breakfast that was a highlight of our visit. "The Great Ponsonby is a place full of character and quirky… we loved it! All the staff are so kind, friendly and helpful. They even did our laundry! Breakfast was great. Lots of places to dine within very easy walking distance. Wish we could have stayed longer. "

"Charming B&B! Area is lovely (although it was raining during our stay so we didn’t get as much of a chance to enjoy the location as we would have liked… but it IS breathtaking.) On the bay, lovely walk to town … couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful spot! Hosts are wonderful people … homemade bread and jams, fruit, yogurt and assorted cereals for breakfast… would recommend Dovecote to everyone!"

"Shareen is an absolutely lovely host, kind & considerate & helpful. The home is gorgeous, and walkable to the ocean/beachfront which we loved. Very comfortable accommodations. The one less desirable aspect is that it's a B&B, and you would expect a decent breakfast. But The Bays breakfast option is toast & jams, some cereals, maybe a yogurt variety. "While we didn’t require provisions for disabilities, they had an excellent set-up for those that do need such. Our host was very accommodating. "

"Location great, cleanliness great, provisions great, access great, nothing about the property could be faulted. Property owner was well prepared and friendly when we arrived, communication before arrival was excellent. The only (very very minor) request for improvement would be a light on the sign on the road, we returned at night and struggled to locate the entrance confidently in the dark. "From the moment I stepped out of the taxi until I left the staff were so polite and helpful and professional. The room was perfectly clean and well appointed. The bathroom was spacious - with a bath! Room service dining was timely and a yummy pizza! The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of storage for those staying for longer than a couple of nights. Thank You I would be very happy to return to and recommend the Cordis. "

Central and comfortable

"Central hotel with comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was spacious, but the bath towels are a bit on the small side. We had a big room with a view towards the docks, which was lovely. Even though the hotel offers no breakfast, there are so many cafés and eateries minutes away, so we didnt really mind. Would absolutely stay again."
