From the moment we arrived, Liza and her husband were there at a moment's notice whenever we needed them, and nothing was ever too much trouble – they made us feel so welcome! "We booked this stay as we had a nearby excursion and the location was perfectly situated. We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived, a hamper was left with bread, milk, butter ect. It was very thoughtful and was accompanied by a very information letter highlighting places worth visiting ect, all of which contributed to creating this weekend away as special as it was. The place itself is lovely, equipped with all you need & is great value for money."

"My daughter and I stayed in the Orme lodge, it was lovely. Nice and warm, squirrels outside the windows. Hot tub is just a hot tub - not one with bubbles! so don't look for a button to press lol Very peaceful. If you go with kids (i went with teenager) then maybe take a laptop to watch netflix etc on. wifi connection great. Don't wear sliders on your feet when trying to do the fire or else you will slip on the mud which is hilarious to a teenager btw. Hot tub takes about 4 hours to...

"This was our first time staying here and it certainly won't be our last. The shepherd's hut is beautifully decorated and has such a cosy and comfortable feel to it. The under floor heating kept it lovely and warm too despite the snow outside (which also made it super pretty). The outside space was so private and had a fantastic view over the fields and to the hills beyond. Our favourite thing was sitting out at night by the fire pit and relaxing, looking up at the stars.
