"We only stayed one night, but the Strater will always be remembered. What a fantastic piece of working history. Every inch of this hotel is impressive. The staff are lovely and seem to love the hotel and their jobs. I was amazed at the quantity of staff who take care of this gem. We will be back. We had recently stayed at the El Tovar, which was terrific, but we put the Strater beside it. I think the Strater is better maintained with nicer amenities. "

"We like staying here at the Casino. Front desk could be a bit friendier when when dealing with customers. Bathroom had empty boxes instead of shower cap, shoe shining rag, sewing kit. Room was not cleaned while we stayed 2 nights. Overall we enjoyed our stay and plan to come back. Thanks "

"We moved here from the Colonel Palmer. Everything was clean and updated. Full kitchen with all pots utensils, etc... The walls are a little thin, but it appears that they try not to put tenants next to each other when that's possible, so it was only an issue for us on the first day. "

"Because the room we booked wad being repaired, we ended up upgrading to the biggest room they had (a suite). It was very nice and spacious. The furniture was a little dated, but still good. I enjoyed the suite, the river view (although the river walk was under construction), and the diner at the hotel with a nice view as well. My big disappointment was the breakfast.
