"I loved the age of the building, dating in parts from 1470, and fitting in with the historical architecture and atmosphere of Bruges. My spacious room overlooked the canal, which was a treat. The hotel is a short walk from the city centre and a perfect base for exploration on foot. The breakfast buffet selection is excellent. All the staff members I met were extremely helpful and friendly."

"Ladies at the front desk were very nice prior to check in and during stay, they were aware of mistakes made by Expedia during booking and they stated they would take care of it, however upon check out we were charged breakfast fees and when I called to get it sorted out they were extremely unfriendly, denied they ever said they would remove fees (lie) and even raised her voice at me over the phone and hung up. Very hypocritical customer service."

It ended up being ideally located, especially its proximity to the parking garage. "Great location and the comfiest of beds! Our room was basic, no tea/coffee or fridge etc but that was fine for us, there was water though. Like others have said, there are areas that are in need of some tidying up but none of it would affect your stay. Breakfast was great, i wasn't expecting much after reading some reviews but it was all fresh and plentiful. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay, we were just there for a night so maybe I'd prefer more room facilities if i was to stay longer."
