Hotel was very nice and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Family room was perfect enough space for everyone. Pool was decent and food for breakfast was very good. Just outside Bruges centre but only 10 minute walk.

We had a lovely long, family weekend in Bruges, staying at Grand Hotel Normandy. The hotel was excellent, the family room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed using the swimming pool and the gym. Our children loved playing chess and connect 4 in the really nice, reception bar.

Lovely, comfortable room - bathroom was very tiny though. Esa at check-in was extremely helpful, polite and friendly. So were all the other staff. Very good breakfast (loved the white cloth and matching cutlery). Location is very good - right next to the main square and yet away from all the rush. Overall, very good but also a bit pricey.

Service and facilities can't be faulted. It was excellent and made my stay enjoyable. Besides the excellent service, it is affordable and well situated, being 10 minutes or so walk from most of the important sights and restaurants. The rail station is also a 15-20min walk away, while a bus stop/interchange is 5 minutes walk away. One downside noted was the strong smell of old sewerage pipes in a section of the corridor immediately after the reception desk. I appreciate that this often can be a problem in old buildings, but until this is fixed, I would recommend the hotel place some candles in the area, which should burn-off/mask the smell. Would I recommend the hotel, yes!

Very nice hotel near the centre. It's located next to a road but we had a roadside room and we heared nothing. It was perfectly quite. Great room with a kingsize bed and bathroom with bad. We had a great stay.

We liked the fact that the hotel was away from the busy old town but close enough to walk there in 15 minutes or so. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was fine, the decor was a little dated and the furniture needed updating, but all in all it was very comfortable and fine for what we wanted.

the location is great, you only walk a few minutes to be on the main plaza, the only aspect that we didnt like much was the space, we had 2 big pcs of luggage and there was no way that we can open both on the floor, so if you are traveling with only 1 bag its ok, but if you have a lot of luggage ask for a bigger room
