"Place was clean staff were friendly but the place is dated and need a refresh. The walls aren't insulated well so you can hear the a/c of other rooms in yours. "

"Room was quite small we have never had a small room like it. There was like an inch gap under the door that let light in at night and hear everyone walking and talking. The area seemed safe. "

"The Hotel was a bit of a hidden gem. It was tucked away in the back, very quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again. "

"Nice hostel and very welcoming to an elder person like myself. Non-discriminatory policy was evident. Great historic ambiance. Courteous staff. It was a pleasant temperature in Sacramento so no air conditioner nor heater was required. We had the windows open to let in the air but there are no screens on the windows so mosquitos came in and I was pretty bitten up by the morning. It is unclear as to whether they have air conditioning or not. They don't have an ice machine or ice available. Nice game room with a pool table, pinball, and foosball machines in the basement. Its too bad they don't have lounge chairs on the veranda. Desk was always staffed but a lot of homeless in the area so the front door was always locked. Very well managed."
