"The highlight of this place for us was the location - a very easy 5 minute walk to old town, and also Macy’s in the other direction. The room size is fine and as expected. There was a fridge and microwave which was a bonus we were not expecting. The air con worked well. Shower temperature and pressure were good. On the down side, the bathroom had a strong urine smell but since you couldn’t smell it in the main room, we didn’t bother reporting it as we had already made ourselves comfortable....

"Nice hostel and very welcoming to an elder person like myself. Non-discriminatory policy was evident. Great historic ambiance. Courteous staff. It was a pleasant temperature in Sacramento so no air conditioner nor heater was required. We had the windows open to let in the air but there are no screens on the windows so mosquitos came in and I was pretty bitten up by the morning. It is unclear as to whether they have air conditioning or not. They don't have an ice machine or ice...

"Front desk employee was very nice and the location is great. Unfortunately we could hear all of the noise in the central atrium and door to the parking garage. "

"The Fong Mansion is beautiful. It was built in the 1930s I believe. It has an elegant feel but homey. We enjoyed sitting in the living room looking out the beautiful windows at the park across the street. There are also 2 reading chairs upstairs on the second floor with the same view. We were in the Tranquility Room. The bath and shower were wonderful! Breakfast was wonderful as well as the wine!!! We would love to return! Minor suggestions: I would have loved the option to buy a soda!...
