"It's the best place to stay if you appreciate the silence and you're looking for a quiet place because is far from the town and very close to Puna Pau and that makes that at night you can see the stars so clearly. The staff is so kind and makes your stance there so enjoyful. The taste of the breakfast is fresh, natural and so delicious and also the proportion is enough. The room is so big for one person and perfect, in my perception, for two persons. A great experience for sure, if I come back...

"I loved sitting in the covered porch watching the day go from dark to daylight. I loved listening to the chickens all day long. I loved being greeted every morning by the staff. I loved having good drinking water always available. I enjoyed watching the staff care for the property. It looked like such a labor of love. The food was always amazing. I would strongly recommend this hotel."

"By mainland standards, this is an unusual property. There is no signage indicating the hotel. The hotel is up a hilly driveway and what looks like the lobby near street level is for a different hotel. The owners and staff are very nice and live on the property, which is in a relatively quiet residential neighborhood. The hotel has a nice breakfast but they do not provide eggs. Continental breakfast at the hotel restaurants is right by the ocean with a great view of the blue waters of the pacific. "The location is beautiful and close to everything. The hotel is older and needs some upgrades, but clean and the staff is wonderful. Everyone is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is good and you can get cold and hot water all day long for tea or coffee. Also they can help you with booking tours around the island. All in all it’s been a great experience."

"Wow, where do I start? When I booked this place, I figured I would have to arrange a taxi to get there and then find guides to see the island attractions. I was wrong. As soon as I booked, Marcelo contacted me for my arrival time and was there to meet us at the airport. He is also a registered guide and we did our tours with him, talk about convenient. "Hugo picked up from airport which I really appreciated. Location was spacious, clean and on the Main Street, so was close to shopping and dining options. The only recommendation is to make sure television is available. "

"Odette is the hostess/manager every hotel should have! She made us feel at home and was tireless on making sure we were having a great time and going way beyond her duties - she was lovely, caring and an impressive professional running the sweetest and most charming hotel in Easter Island. Her knowledge of the island and well connectedness got us the best deals for tours and rentals. The place itself is beautifully decorated, comfortable and immaculately clean - the room service lady made sure our room was always clean and the beds were so well made that it felt like fresh sheets everyday. It felt and smelled clean throughout the entire place - I could actually see my reflection on the floor! Breakfast was always delicious and with high-quality products on offer. Yummy every single time! The only drawback I can think of is the location as it’s a little bit far from town but I saw it as a positive as the only thing we heard were crickets at night and birds in the morning! I understand this reads too positive but in true honesty, 5 stars ( and I’m very picky)!"

"The staff at Tupa hotel is very helpful and speak excellent English. This is not an island where you find luxury hotels. The facilities are well-worn and basic. Given you accept that, you would do well to book Tupa hotel for the kindness and service. Bed was comfortable. Storage plentiful. Location convenient and they were wonderful about picking me up at the airport and taking me back. On time and efficient. I had an ocean-side room with a sliding door that opened on a mini-patio. One thing you should know is that the cleaning person always left the sliding door open to air out the room. This helps prevent mildew in this tropical climate. So don't leave valuables lying around. This wasn't an issue for me since I don't travel with any valuables other than my passport and money, which I keep with me at all times. One thing I wish I knew before I went was that they can book you tours at the hotel. I booked separately and had an awful experience on the tours. Check with them about tours when you reach out to book. A beautiful island that is still rustic."

"Amazing place is owned by local friendly family. 5 minutes walk to best sunset spot on the island. Good restaurants nearby. Place is nice and clean. Full kitchen so you can cook if you want. There is no A/C in the room (but at the night it's pretty chill), and no breakfast/dining option on the property (in case you expect it)."

"Great location. The hotel is nondescript and has no signage indicating its presence. Very good breakfast. You’ll hear lots of bird sounds there including roosters that start their cries very early in the morning. There are other residences around the hotel, so you’ll hear their sounds as well, including their late-night music and banter. "

"Great place to stay - beautiful property with a lovely porch you can sit on and enjoy a morning coffee or an evening drink. While the area is a quiet area, you will hear the dogs, cats, and roosters if you leave your windows open! We arranged the airport pick up and drop off which was very convenient. The cabin was clean and had a kitchen, which we liked. Right next door there is a shop (which accepts cards and is open early/late) that has tons of fresh produce, frozen foods, drinks, snacks, fresh coffee, and bread, so you can easily pick up these items to use in the kitchen. Within walking distance are several restaurants, shops, the seashore, the main shopping area, and the sunset point at Ahu Tahai. You can go watch the sunset and it's about a 10-minute walk back from there. Check out the empanada spot just up the road - delicious large empanadas made to order from scratch. It felt very safe to walk around the area even after dark. Jasmin helped us with everything and was so kind and friendly. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it."
