"I wish I did a little more research before booking. This lodge used to be a hostel and still seems more like a hostel than lodge. It would be perfect if I wasn’t traveling with a toddler who wants to get into everything. Location is about a five minute drive from the beach. We saw a ton of deer. It’s a little ways to the shipwreck and lighthouse. Great for trail access. Overall, if you’re traveling with small children or folks who overheat easily, maybe not the best place. "We had a wonderful stay at this property perched on a hillside above Dillon Beach. The house is 360 views you can watch the sunrise and sunset from this location. The mountain has deer, hawks, bunnies. The house had all the amenities you'd need for a dinner. The house is perched on a hill so you will get a workout in and need to be in good shape. The house has about 90 steps up so it's a bit of a haul for luggage and groceries but I thought worth it because of the view. "

"Our host, Cherry is very thoughtful and ensures that guest needs are provided for. We didn't have a single issue and lucked out again with the weather. We bought crabs at Spud Point in Bodega Bay- they were large and very fresh. We have stayed here before and enjoy the mesmerizing view of the ocean and walks on the beach! "
