"We dined in the restaurant and food quality, staff attitude and service were excellent. Monkfish was outstanding, I’ve certainly dined in numerous hotels & restaurants, paid more and been disappointed. Recommend a stay and dining experience here. Lovely grounds to walk in and a historic building to enjoy. Actually enjoyed the fact there was limited mobile signal once in the hotel, due to the thick stone walls, made it more relaxing "

"Staff very welcoming and helpful. The rooms a good size and spotlessly clean. The bed had a bit of a dip but otherwise we enjoyed the room’s facilities. The breakfast was plentiful with a wide range of food and drinks that were easy access and easy to top up. "

"Nice hotel, location ideal for walking into center of Stratford in 5 minutes, breakfast lovely...bathroom needs updating, spa treatments very expensive and didn't expect to be charged to park at the hotel "

"We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."
