"It's a beautiful property in the country with public bus access if you are willing to walk a mile to the bus stop. I considered it good exercise and a beautiful walk if its not raining. We had some issue with our room keys and had to have them reactivated every night when we returned from our excursions. The breakfast is very good but I'm not a big breakfast eater. I thought it was included in our stay but its not. I wish I'd skipped it all together when i checked out and realized it was 15...

"We stayed here for one night as we were stopping in Edinburgh on our way up to the highlands. The room was excellent and to a very high standard. "The Garden Cottage is such a fantastic spot. My family was traveling to Scotland for a wedding and needed a nearby accommodation with minimal stairs for the 92 yr old grandmother. The Garden Cottage seemed to be a good choice until we walked in the door and WOW, it exceeded all expectations. Not only were there few stairs and 3 bedrooms, the cottage included a lovely kitchen with a large table, a sitting room, a tv room and a fantastic garden with opportunities to spot a big rabbit or two. ...

She provided us with contacts for drivers, tour guides, and even a chef. She even made dining reservations for us.
