"We were informed that we could not arrive before 4pm on Saturday as the property would be cleaned and prepared before this time. On arrival it was obvious that this was not the case. The entrance gate had rubbish bins overflowing with trash in 40 degrees heat. The front garden was overgrown with weeds. The back garden was full of stinging nettles and the lawn overgrown. On Sunday morning the owner arrived and mowed the lawn and cut the nettles back at 9am. The hot tub had flooded the room...

"Beautifully presented, very clean with AC and coffee machine. Beds very comfortable with beautiful cotton sheets. We enjoyed playing cards in the garden in the evening and meeting the hedgehog! The chateau in the next village has a fantastic display of vehicles that we all enjoyed, be it bikes, planes or fire engines. Beaune was full of character."

We loved getting fresh croissants from the bakery in the morning, and sitting on the terrace as the sun set after a busy day sightseeing in the surrounding towns and countryside.
