"Midas looks nice and is well located in San Ignacio. Even though it's ont the edge of town, you can walk to most places. For exemple, we walked to San Ignacio Resort for the Green Iguana Conservation Project tour (20 minutes), then walked to Cahal Pech ruins (another 20 minutes) with 2 kids. On site, the maid staff works well. Our rooms were done everyday. The pool area is quite nice. The bar was always staffed when we were here. "Beautiful property, lovely experience but also not what we expected. I would consider this more of a working ranch than a resort, as we felt like it's more setup for locals to Belmopan and cowboys than it is to the average traveler. Nice food, good overall value. Kind of a strange cowboy guy who apparently owns the property who was a little overly friendly to my girlfriend out of the blue. However seems that locals love him and have good things to say.
