"Very spacious hotel that included a nice breakfast. While we didn't use the outdoor pool/cabana area, it looked like a great setup. The views from our balcony were great, although it was located close enough to private residences that you could hear them in the day time (construction, etc.) The shower water temperature would fluctuate pretty constantly, which was a bit unpleasant. "Hotel do Canal is our favorite hotel in Faial. The staff are warm and friendly. The accommodations are nice and spacious. It is pretty handicap accessible and offers onsite gym, tours, multi-lingual staff, and delightful restaurant! We had dinner to which no detail had been overlooked and a great wine list was available. We also always enjoy a delightful breakfast with local offerings and general European cuisine. We already look forward to our return!"
