"We were so happy with the hotel and lived our room with the amazing view of the lake and balcony. The staff were all so friendly and the breakfast was amazing. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We walked to and from the train station and caught the ferry just opposite the hotel to Sirmione. Loved the area loads to eat and drink or just wander up to the castle. Book this place with a view you will be very happy"

"Very nice hotel in a beautiful central location close to the ferry port and with a view of the lake. It is a ten minute walk from the train station. The rooms were comfortable with all the expected facilities. Breakfast had a wide range of continental choices as well as scrambled eggs and bacon. The coffee was excellent. There are a wide range of bars, restaurants and shops close by. If I were visiting Desenzano in the future I would have no hesitation in staying at Hotel Tripoli. "

"The spa facilities were very nice. I wasn’t aware there was a charge to use the facilities. That’s ok, but guests can’t get access to spa and until 3:00 in afternoon and must book it for 3 hours. I like morning soaks or at least at my convenience, not the hotel’s."

"The good: convenient location. The not so good: uncomfortable bed, broken lock on patio door so couldn't secure the room, no trash can in room, quite difficult getting in/out of shower due to bidet location. Consider this a budget hotel."
