"Majn entry door did not completely seal. Wind and light came though easily. Tv was completely unplugged, both ends of the power cable. Fridge did not keep things cold enough. Hot water did not come out of the shower head, but did out of tub spout. Ice only on 1st floor. Vending machines empty. Price was satisfactory and parking was plenty. Beds were very comfy. Very close to the beach."

"Classic older hotel in great location with excellent service. Great buffet breakfast and wine in afternoon with cookies at night. Short walk to beach and downtown with free shuttle if needed. A number of stairs to room. Not a big deal but could be with some walking issues."

"The hotel seems small but charming and a great place to stay in Monterey. It's also really easy to get to Carmel 10min drive . The beds were incredibly comfortable and the fireplace helped create a cozy environment in the living room. Parking was free which was a big plus. Breakfast was really a quick grab and go type of setting, perhaps a snack bar. Quaker Brand Granola Bars, snack size individually package cereals, coffee, juice, bagel wrapped in saran wrap. There is no Gym but the hotel offers a complimentary gym pass to Gold’s Gym at the mall across the street only if you already have a membership with Gold's gym (at least that's what we were told at the front counter). In the end for the amount of money paid for 3 nights it was well worth it, I would definately recommend staying here for a convinient place to tour Monterey and Carmel. "
