"Excellent getaway! This bed and breakfast, circa 1810, offered us much needed respite from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Situated along the Wicomico River, the scenic views were relaxing. The inviting porch rockers made it easy to appreciate the evening air and refreshing breeze as vessels passed and waterfowl flickered about. Cindy, the Innkeeper, was attentive and kind. Her warmth permeated throughout the entire place. She offered suggestions for things to do and places to eat…even had some coupons for some of the activities. Each morning all the guests would gather, eagerly awaiting the breakfast that she’d meticulously prepared for us. Delicious!!! ✨ Adding to the tranquility, the town is very small with the main two attractions being the Whitehaven Hotel B&B and the Whitehaven Ferry. The ferry was pretty cool to watch. Up to 3 vehicles would drive on and get ferried to the other side. We also borrowed the kayaks and went up river exploring the tributaries of the Wicomico River. What a trip! Do yourself a favor and book a stay.❤️"

"This condo was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. Very, very clean, beautiful view of the bay, everything we needed, kitchen very well supplied. Friendly people we met at the condo, great parking and also nice and quiet in the evenings. We'll be back, I highly recommend this condo for anyone looking for a getaway weekend or whatever."

"We all enjoyed our stay at Down by the Bay. The house comfortably accommodated all 15 of us and we made good use of the kayaks and paddle boards provided. The golf cart to the dock was a really nice touch and made up for the fact that there is not direct water access to the swimming area from the house. The sunsets from the porch were incredible."

"Both the property and house were very impressive. They had everything we needed, and we did a bit of everything while we were there: swimming, stargazing, camp fires, crab feast, fishing, etc. The owners were quick with communication and didn't mind us bringing our dog at the last minute. Overall, we loved it and didn't want to leave. If the opportunity arrises, we'll definitely go back."

"We held a family reunion at the house with 11 adults ranging in age from 55 to 90. We were interested in the area for its surrounding attractions We chose the house because of its curb appeal, the number of bedrooms it offers, and very reasonable price. The house has the requisite number of bedrooms and plentiful space for people to cook, eat and spend time together, both inside and outside. Of the three bathrooms, the two with showers are upstairs and in high demand, which was our only complaint, but we made it work. The house was clean and communication with the hosts seamless. Window air conditioners provided respite from the heat. The kitchen has sufficient support for shared meals and cooking. There are many places to sit outside and many activities to keep all ages engaged. We very much enjoyed the Harriet Tubman National Park and Black Water Refuge both nearby, several visits to Cambridge and dinner at Old Salty’s."

"This is a unique property with expansive water views. Quiet neighborhood with wonderful and helpful caretakers. We spent 3 nights with our 5 month old puppy and thoroughly enjoyed it. Had dinner in 2 nights and went to Old Salty’s one night for crabcakes. Very good service and great food. Brought our boat and had a great time. The cottage was immaculate and extremely well equipped."

"Came to stay at the hotel for my Bday. Didn’t get to see any horses 😔.!but that’s ok. The room was nice, the staff was friendly. They were in the middle of a remodel, and kept having problems with the key cards working right. This is the first hotel I’ve ever stayed at where the key cards were not touch to open. Hopefully if/when I stay here again, that they go to a touch to open lock system. But other than the key card issue, my stay was pleasant. On a sidenote, I do wish they had waffles as an option for for breakfast. But that’s just me."
