"Still the best of the Days Inn on the M6/M74 that we have stayed in. Apart from the up-to-date condition, there are TWO chairs and a CEILING light which both add hugely to the enjoyment of our stay. Dim hotel rooms are unfortunately so common these days, so thank you Days Inn Gretna for bucking the trend! An added bonus is the wider range of facilities available in the adjacent service area"

"Hotel was spotless, really clean, comfortable and a cosy warm bedroom. Breakfast was delicious, and staff were all very friendly and polite. Nice walk into town, however bit of a hike back, as it’s all up hill. Didn’t put us off, and would definitely recommend and book again"

"This is an old style hotel with huge public spaces and big staircases but the rooms are very comfortably equipped. Comfortable bed, tea and coffee maker, TV with a big bathroom with bath and shower. Although it's in the centre of town next to the bars and nightlife, I had a comfortable quiet night because the building is stone and well insulated. It's 100m from the railway station at the top of the strip which has bars and restaurants - it has it's own bar and restaurant as well. It was also a great price and one of the cheapest in Carlisle. A really good price for a really good hotel."
