"Wow, what a lovely hotel! The location couldn’t be beat - we walked everywhere with the gorgeous lake in front, the gardens to the left, surrounded by shops and restaurants. The free valet parking was easy to use, but we really didn’t need a car. The hotel itself is historic but comfortably luxurious with high ceilings and oozing character. "Very expensive for the fact that you had a timed shower - 8 minutes. Smacks of why water restrictions given proximity to lake. Question - do locals have timed showers? Not sure re use of compost toilets given that septic system for whole site with recycled water system could have been effective. Food was great. Alan "

"We have rented this house for family vacation. It has very nice location, it's clean, spacious and comfortable. Very nice outside deck with comfortable outdoor furniture. The only thing that prevents us from giving 5 stars are the bathrooms - they were OK but could use an update."
