"The hotel was very pretty, with outdoor seating with nice landscaping. The room was great as were the staff. The breakfast was fabulous, especially the bacon. The only complaint I have is small but I think woth mentioning. The selection of hot tea was very poor. Many of the other chains have great varieties. "

"This is a great place for a family to stay, knowing its more of a budget friendly accommodation. My kids loved the pool and breakfast. That being said, it could use some attention to detail. The "gym" machines were out of order, the bathroom fan sounded awful, the mirror was crooked on the wall, little fixes could make it an even better place to stay. "

"I was legitimately tearing up leaving this place. I wanted to see Mount Rushmore and explore a little bit of South Dakota and I found this gem and for 100 bucks a night, this was amazing. Independently decorated, very nice Purple mattress, amazing rain shower with lights and built in Bluetooth and speakers. A little kitchen with 2 burners and a mini fridge. This place exceeded my expectations. Super cozy and you feel right at home!!!! Will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this...

"This is a motel on the main drag of Custer. Easy walking to bars and many restaurants. It’s an older hotel and not much to look at on the outside. However the rooms are large and nicely appointed. Comfortable beds, nice towels, indoor pool and hot tub, coffee maker, nice size TV, in room are just some of the amenities. If you can get a good deal on it, it’s a great place. Took one star off as it’s a little pricey. Custer is a great base camp for the southern blackhills."

"We had a cozy room in a beautiful wooded ranch setting that felt like home. The bonus was the wonderful animal residents in this large property, including a sweetheart show bull, two wily goats, and a fluff of a cat. Downtown Custer, minutes away, wound up giving us some of the best meals of our South Dakota trip. And the whole region is gorgeous with much to see. Highly recommend."

"This was a great place to stay. The cabin was wonderful, the quiet was excellent, and it was easy to access. I would have given 5 stars, but some basic amenities like hand soap and shower soap should be provided or it could be clearer that these basics will not be there. An extra blanket for anyone staying during the colder months would also be appreciated. Other than that, I loved it!"

"Our short stay went well. We were only there for 2 nights with our dog but found the property owner and her dogs very nice. There are four pugs who you'll likely see a few times during your stay, so be aware of your pets if you bring them. The main house where the property owner lives is just far enough away to provide privacy. Everything was clean and well kept."
