"The property was beautifully presented. Immaculate bedrooms with lovely white fluffy towels, well stocked tea tray and all the usual extras to make our stay a home from home. Short walk to Windermere. Great breakfast served hot and quickly. Nothing was too much for the very helpful staff. Would highly recommend. "

"Pleasantly surprised with this hotel considering the price we paid. We booked the Rickerby suite which has a living area with TV, bath in the bedroom, also with a TV, and shower in the bathroom. Complimentary crisps, chocolates and water in the fridge on arrival was a lovely touch. Plenty of toiletries and also a candle to light for a bubble bath. Everything was very clean and tidy with a comfortable bed and pillows. The bar area and restaurant are very well presented and the breakfast was one of the best cooked and tastiest buffet style that we've had in a hotel. There are some chefs specials that can also be cooked to order, also included in the room rate. Although we didn't eat in the hotel in the evening a good menu is available 5pm-9pm. Staff that we encountered were very friendly and welcoming. There is a pub across the road and an Indian restaurant a short walk away. Carlisle castle and the city centre are also a nice 20-30 minute stroll. Free parking is available behind the hotel. Should we visit Carlisle again we will most definitely stay here."

"Accusation within 3 buildings. Secure and quiet but close to shops and restaurants. Some nice walks without needing the car. Rooms comfortable. Excellent breakfast service. Spa facilities: pool, sauna, steam room, indoor and outdoor hot tub Treatments were all booked up so unable to comment. But it’s Clarins so will be good. "

"Great hotel, fabulous staff, and a very good Spa. Perfect location in Bowness. You are exactly where you want to be. The bedrooms are comfortable but a bit tired. The TV in the room we had was tiny given the cost of the room. Brewfast is good but a little bit stingy when it comes to the full english. 1 sausage, 1 radher of bacon, 1 egg, 1 plumb tomatoe, a small portion of beans, 1 hash brown and half a breakfast mushroom. Half a mushroom! I am not kidding. Whoever thought of that cost saving measure should hang their head in shame! For a hotel that isnt cheap, that takes the mickey. That said, will we go back? Almost definitely!"
