"Property was brilliant area excellent as I know it well being from Walker originally.Could not fault the cottage apart from the obviously inflated price for Sam Fender concert. As a Geordie this didn't go down too well. A must if you are a visitor to the area as it is set in an idyllic and central area for almost everything worth visiting in Newcastle area and beyond."

Only advise would be to have a sign where the holiday homes are as we used the postcode and nav took us to road down the road. "Bit difficult to find initially. Worth stating entrance is opposite Causey Arch Inn. Once there, cottages are are lovely, clean tidy and everything you need for a short break.Walking to Tanfield, the railway on a weekend"

"The location is superb right on the water. The house is lovely and had everything we needed! We had a slight issue gaining access, but the host was very responsive and helpful, so it was resolved immediately. Would definitely recommend and stay again, our toddler didn't want to leave!"

"Great location however the house was not clean on arrival despite owner stating it had been cleaned. I needed to clean sour milk which was throughout the fridge. There was lots of mould and damp spots in the bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen. Water was leaking through the ceiling in the kitchen and damaged our food.Owner advised he was trying to patch up the kitchen roof.Unable to use shower as this also leaked into kicheb.
