"We had a fantastic weekend stay at this secluded cabin! The property is absolutely beautiful, with a lovely creek and a small waterfall that our husky couldn’t get enough of. The screened and covered deck was spacious and perfect for relaxing, complete with a gas grill. Inside, the kitchen was very well-equipped with modern appliances, cookware, dinnerware, and silverware, making meal prep easy. The living room sofa was very comfortable, and the king-size loft bedroom with its own sitting area was a real highlight—so cozy!A few things to note for future guests: the drive up includes very curvy mountain roads, so if you’re prone to car sickness, be prepared. The Wi-Fi works, but keep in mind it’s what you’d expect for such a remote location. Also, the washer and dryer are located in the basement, which may not be ideal for everyone. If you suffer from allergies, bring your medications—the cabin is clean but, being a rustic place, there may be some dust in less-used areas.The cabin is about a 30-minute drive to downtown Boone, making it easy to enjoy the town while still feeling wonderfully secluded. We had a great time and are already looking forward to coming back!"

"Baker’s cottage is lovely, quiet, clean and out of the way but close enough to necessities. We have enjoyed our stays there & hope to do so again. Hosts are very kind & quick to respond to questions. "

"Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely mountain getaway. The home was impeccably clean and comfortable. The hot tub was fantastic and the view was unbeatable. The creek was everything we wanted and provided fun for the kids. The campfire was also great at night. It was private, but had easy access to great hiking and activities during the day. The dishwasher and washer and dryer were large and in good condition. The kitchen was well stocked, and the layout was perfect. Communication with the host was spot on. We would definitely stay again!"
