"This historic villa will sweep you away. Such stunning grounds and views. Very clean. Property manager is very helpful and attentive. Location cannot be beat. Super spacious with fantastic library of books. We were sad to leave. Just keep in mind - it's an old house! No air conditioning so adjust expectations for summer months."

Located close to the lake and many attractions. Nearby there are good restaurants and one of the best cocktail bars in Italy. The house is in a very quiet location. "My husband and I had six nights in this beautiful villa in Baveno. It is high in the town with a 10 minute walk down to the ferries/train/bus, as the listing indicates. So it is perfect to explore the islands of Lake Maggiore, as well as the other towns along the shores. Being that high, the villa has an amazing view of the lake and islands. "Small living room, no private bathrooms for parents, not enough space for getting together"

"The Villa is everything you always dreamed of when imagining an Italian vacation. It's specious, the garden is amazing, the details and thoughts that were put in the design are noticeable. However, please note that the house keepers are living in the house full time with your group. The pool chlorine level was too high and some family members had a rash. Former guests raised the issue, owner was aware of it and yet the issue wasn't addressed . Checkout time is at 9 AM and not 19 (7pm) as it is...

"I thought the villa was spacious and secure with nice views. You will need a car if staying here. Services available with a 10-15 min drive. One thing which could be improved is providing supplies such as garbage bags, more than one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, paper towels, and soap for kitchen sink and showers, as well as more towels. Laundry facilities are not present in the villa you must find a laundromat. Also provide salt and pepper, tea bags. Thanks "
