"My husband and I had six nights in this beautiful villa in Baveno. It is high in the town with a 10 minute walk down to the ferries/train/bus, as the listing indicates. So it is perfect to explore the islands of Lake Maggiore, as well as the other towns along the shores. Being that high, the villa has an amazing view of the lake and islands. "The property has a fabulous location and it very well fitted out. However some points which we were unaware of before our stay: only the downstairs bedroom, which I’d class as bedroom 3 had air con, no other part of the property had air con. The road leading to the property is single lane and twisty, encountering a vehicle coming the other way is a real problem. The property next door is being rebuilt , for the first 2 weekdays there was constant building noise, this was dealt with excellently...
