"We booked this property to celebrate a group 50th birthday, and could not be happier with our choice. We were a party of 18, 10 adults and eight children (ages 4-15). Before arrival, the owners were super efficient with communication, providing detailed information about the property and responding to questions on the same day. On arrival the owners showed us around the property at check-in. The house feels much larger that it looks in the photos. The family that own the house reside in the property between rentals and as such it is set up for comfort rather than set up specifically for renters, which adds to the charm. All of the bedrooms are large, even the smaller ones are large. The house facilities are fantastic and we used the heated swimming pool and hot-tub every day of our stay in late October. We didn't head into town, so cannot comment on the local pubs or restaurants, though a comprehensive list of establishments was provided. We did take a stroll into the countryside, to Cam Peak, which is accessed diretly from the garden. Unfortunately we did cause a small amount of damage to the property during our rental, however, the owner was exceptionally gracious. I cannot recmmend this property highly enough for a large group. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful house. "

"Genuine old Pub/restuarant , able to select 2 items from starter menu plus salad and baked potatoe . All very good .Same for breakfast had a small portion and did not eat to much. Good flexibility. "

"They went out of their ways to help me when I had an issue with my car (flat tyre) and offered the drinks and the meal while we tried to sort out the issue!!! I can’t thank them enough to get myself organised and got back home safely!!!"

"Joe and I had a wonderful stay at The Shed. The space and size were perfect and exactly what we were looking for in a English countryside cottage stay. The bed was comfortable. We spent plenty of time in the cozy living room reading and relaxing. The kitchen was serviceable. The heaters took a bit of time to get going but they put out plenty of heat to keep the space warm. My husband was working at times and if we were both using the internet it was a little slow. Not a huge issue for me as I was happy to spend plenty of time sleeping in and reading books and magazines. If you’re truly looking to disconnect from the world the internet shouldn’t be much of an issue! The bathroom was a good size, and it was nice to have the towel warmer. The shower head wasn’t great for washing hair, it sprayed about a bit. Overall, a lovely place to stay and we would come back if we ever got the chance. It’s beautiful at the property and the surrounding area, so peaceful and quiet. I adored saying hello to Florence and Primrose and the neighboring cows even made an appearance which was great. We would recommend staying at The Shed! "
