"Our stay here was generally excellent. We managed to get a car parking space although it should be noted that there aren’t many space. The members of staff at reception were all very pleasant. Our room was excellent! I think we got an upgrade because we received a large corner suite with 4 rooms even though we’d only paid for a family room. The room was well appointed although the decor was dated, but in keeping with the hotel. The rooms were very spacious - we even had a four poster bed! The location of the hotel was also very convenient for Harrogate with the centre only a couple of minutes walk away. The only negatives were that the bed was a little too firm and noise from outside the hotel could be heard due to the old windows. But otherwise we had a good stay."

"Loved our stay. A few minor irritations: No fridge in room so no fresh milk or cold water. Great bath but shampoo and body wash bolted to the wall out of reach! Opted for no sheet or towel change but that meant no clean cups or glasses. But great food and friendly staff in a lovely location."
