"Ashford Castle was the best hotel that I have ever visited. The staff is delightful and facilities exceptional. We enjoyed a private Hawk Walk lead by Mel. She was terrific. We played 9 holes and had the course to ourselves. The grounds are breathtaking. The room that we stayed in thru Hotels.com was 420. What a beautiful room with lots of light. It was just amazing. "We have just checked out of this beautiful hotel and couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay! The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and has everything you need, the conjoined pub 'The Crows Nest' next door serves a fabulous menu and all the locals are very chatty and always so friendly. "The hotel is very old and has a lot of character. The rooms have been recently updated so everyone is clean and in good condition. The room itself is very small and hard to move. The sink has separated spigots fur hot and cold water which is a little frustrating but not terrible. What is super frustrating is the shower water pressure. I had trouble getting tinsed off."
