"The hotel is family run and this is reflected by the staff who were very friendly throughout our 4 night stay. In house carvery and restaurant was good for an excellent meal. Also excellent breakfasts. The hotel is in walking distance from the city centre but there are also regular buses. The property is kept very clean and our room had a huge comfortable bed. The hotel was ideal for our short stay. I would chose to stay there again if I visit the area."

"The Abode Canterbury is an excellent hotel located in the heart of Canterbury. From a convenience point of view, everything is close by - you've got a convenience store, lots of restaurants, and easy walking distance to the cathedral and other visitor attractions. The staff was friendly and service was excellent. For North American travelers looking for king size beds, this hotel does have them, but you need to ask for "Super King" beds specifically. If we find ourselves in England again and an Abode hotel is available, we would absolutely consider staying there again."

"Really lovely place to stay. The view from our bedroom was beautiful (well-manicured golf course) and our bathroom was brand new. Our room was clearly well sound-proofed as we didnt hear a thing when we were in our room (Kimberley). Service was kind and polite. There is no sauna anymore but there is a swimming pool. Decent breakfast. Only slight issue was we noticed an electric socket was a bit loose, other than that couldnt have faulted the stay."
