"Another mom and I spent two nights in the Alone Mill Schoolhouse while our sons enjoyed a weekend tour of VMI. The house was close to campus and offered all the conveniences we needed. The setting was beautiful! I wish we would have had more time to enjoy our surroundings! Maybe we will stay here again if our boys become cadets!"

We enjoyed the beautiful sunrise and sunset from the front porch and the kids enjoyed seeing the cows each morning. "The Granary is the most magnificent home. Very grateful it is available and hope to be back. Property is beautiful with lots of deer and bald eagles and trout. The home is perfect. It was clean and well equipped and every area was so well maintained and decorated. The history of the entire farm is worth reading and being there and appreciating. Unfortunately, the power was out half of our stay because of the hurricane but the house was still comfortable with many windows we could open and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy during the day.
