"Ive had some fun of late finding hotels to stop at that are off the beaten track so to speak. As much as a Travelodge is useful they are generally quite soulless. And once every now and then you come across a complete gem. The Marine Hotel is one of those. The place itself is absolutely lovely, situated nicely on the beachfront in Hartlepool, its old school but full of character. "Initially, there was some ambiguity about the check in, however as soon as I contacted the service provider, the manager arrived at the property in person and solved the issue. I didn't expect that prompt and kind reaction in response to my problem. I'm sure their business will flourish swiftly as they have put their customers' satisfaction at the centre of it. They are caring and fair and I wish them prosperous years a head."

"I think its my 3rd visit to the Windmill The floorboards are creaky, the phone signal is really awful. (But that does have a positive, no disturbances) Its a lovely little place to stay! The staff are fantastic. It's spotlessly clean. The restaurant is great, too much choice and very, very tasty. Although it's right on the A19 its peacefully quiet. A cracking little place that's quirky and does exactly what is says on the tin. Cheap n cheerful 😊 "
