"I didn't like the pool area. Very limited seating that was always full by the time I got there at 9am. The bar area was way too bright in the middle of the lobby. Quite uncomfortable eating at the bar."

"Great retreat for 2 nights with a gulf view king room. Everyone was very cordial & helpful, especially the valet team, & pool side service. We were very disappointed to find out the beach rental chairs would not allow us to sit close to the water, but far back on the beach. So our beach experience was limited to only an hour sitting on our towels. Thank goodness for a wonderful pool! Another surprise and disappointment was the size of our bathroom....very small for 2 people to share. Bedding was very comfortable."

"We enjoyed our 4 day stay at Opal Sands. The view from the balcony overlooking the gulf was amazing. Our room was very clean, bed comfortable. We also enjoyed dining at Seaguini in the morning (breakfast buffet) and for dinner. I would recommend the hotel for a laid back vacation or those looking for an upscale family friendly stay."

Mike the manager always greeted you with a smile and conversation. Front desk accommodating with recommendations and late check out was no problem. Will definitely be returning! "
