"WE had a lovely stay at Good Aura. They were very accommodating with any of our requests and made the ski rental, check-in, transport to ski lift super easy. We chose to eat dinner at the hotel 3 or the 4 nights because we enjoyed the home cooked meals and it was very convenient to stay in the cozy hotel and eat and drink after a long day of skiing. "We had 2 bookings with Expedia for 3 rooms at this hotel, but upon arrival, we were informed by the hotel staff that they have only received 1 booking from Expedia. Instead of throwing us out in the cold (like many other hotels would probably do), they did all the hard work for us by calling Expedia to solve this problem, which is of no fault of theirs. "Our family of five (two adults and three kids) stayed at Hotel Geography for a week over Christmas for skiing. The hotel is pretty basic but rooms were clean, modern and handily had two bathrooms. The hotel is not ski-in / ski-out but offers a free shuttle to Marco Polo hotel in the mornings. Breakfast was basic and could have been improved (ran out of milk one day, bread a bit stale, limited choice on everything) but definitely enough options to fill up on for a day of skiing. We spent more time at Marco Polo (apres ski, dinner, relaxing etc.) because our friends were staying there, which meant we didn’t spend much a huge amount of time at Geography other than for sleeping and breakfast. That said, Geography was incredibly well-priced and hence the value for money is impossible to beat if you want a cheap, no-frills hotel and plan to eat out in other places. Stray dogs were noisy at night (an issue in many of the hotels in Gudauri!) so take earplugs if you are a light sleeper."
