If you walk up from the rail station, on the southwest side of the street and try to cross at the hotel you have the option to use the over-the-street walkway over the street (which is awkward if you have heavy rolling luggage!) So cross two blocks before the hotel."

Buffet breakfast excellent and ¥1700 set dinner was one of the best and most beautifully presented meals I've ever had in Japan."
