"After getting past the check-in person who gave us a tour while drinking a beer it was a pleasant stay. The gate to get in was tricky but after all that the property is great. I loved the river/rocks in the backyard. The apartment was looked out at the garden. It was beautiful. The bed was very squeaky, but I would stay here again."

"Rubin and Jessica were great hosts and the breakfast was delicious! The views of the surrounding mountains were incredible! It was a very unique property but a great place to stay for a couple of nights if you love the outdoors! "

"the hotel is not exactly luxury digs, but it is comfortable enough. We had a comfortable bed and a large balcony looking out onto the sea (yes, there was a road between the hotel and the sea). We had issues with Wi-Fi in our room. It could be a bit frustrating. The other issue with our room (24) is that it was quite close to the restaurant. This could be loud in the evening."

"Wonderful rooms and close to the ocean. View from shared space is wonderful. Saturday night is loud due to street parties but that is also part of the charm. They provide wonderful coffee and ear plugs. We would stay here again! "

"The villa is situated right on the water. Kayak is available for sailing. The kitchen and bathroom are on ground floor are open air. Bedroom and 2nd toilet is located upstairs. Bedroom consists just of king size bed and night tables attached to the wall, no closet space. The area provides easy contact with nature and privacy, though is distant to dining and stores (about 20 min, drive). "

Garden Suite near the Beach and restaurants!

Absolutely stunning!!

"First of all the photos will never do this home justice. The amount of care and love the owners place in this property is noticeable in every aspect of the home. This was an amazing, lucky find and i will definitely be back, likely just to stay here in pure relaxation. Just a note... bring ear plugs if you do not like noises at night, birds and such. Here you are in an aviary of nature and it's loud, lovely, and put me right to sleep. We did the rainforest during the day, and this was like sleeping there. Basically the same sounds I sleep to on my iphone sleep app. Lol. Thank you Adam, my parents and I are grateful for opening your home to us, was incredible. "

"Quiet, relaxing retreat in the heart of the rainforest. The host sent over clear check-in instructions prior to our arrival and also sent over dinner options since we were arriving later in the day. The retreat was far enough from town that you could relax and immerse yourself in nature but also close enough that you could enjoy a day at the beach and the local culture within 10-20 minutes. 10/10 recommend and will be staying here on our next trip. "

This place is a Gem

"This property had everything we needed. From cooking utensils to beach chairs, beach umbrella, life jackets for the kids, games, toys, high chairs, etc. Great salt water pool and outdoor space, including a covered car port to sit under if it’s raining. Location was ideal for our family,close to a grocery store, restaurants and El Yunque rain forest is a short drive. A recommendation from one of the neighbors was to go to the El Hippie waterfall and swimming hole a short 20 minute drive, what a great place and we spent several hours swimming and laying in the sun on the rocks. Also, listen for the ice cream truck. "

Tropical paradise

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning tropical house, and it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by lush greenery, breathtaking El Yunque views, and a charming home that felt like paradise.The house itself was immaculate—spacious, well-decorated, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay but bit old. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the outdoor dining area was perfect for enjoying the fresh air. The bedrooms were cozy and airy, with comfortable beds and plenty of natural light.One of the highlights was the private pool and outdoor lounge area. Whether we were relaxing in the hammock, taking a dip in the pool, or enjoying the sounds of nature, every moment felt like a true escape from reality. The location was also ideal—secluded enough for privacy but close enough to local restaurants, beaches 40 mins away, and activities.Our host was incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a stress-free stay. I highly recommend this tropical retreat to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. Can’t wait to return!"

Tropical Beach Oasis | Features a Private Pool

"Not what we expected - but we made it work. Location near ‘beach’ is accurate; however, Tropical Beach is a disaster and not safe for swimming or even walking (littered with so much garbage and broken glass). Neighborhood was extremely loud with barking dogs all through the night (many stray dogs and cats). Rental spaces are very small (including bathrooms which were hard for people living in bigger bodies).Beds very basic (and not very comfortable). Some maintenance issues that we communicated (door that would close to bedroom, very loud heat pump unit, fridge leaking water/freezing food); also no generator backup for power outages which are frequent on island/in area. Bonus for us was the pool - though small, kids played/swam for hours many days! The patio space was great - shaded - and able to accommodate 6 for meals (no space for inside seating for meals for more than 2). Overall very basic rental; location loud, and generally not cleanly. We would not choose this location again. "
