"A beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The service from staff has been exemplary, with particular regard for David (in the restaurant) and Sequoia (uncertain spelling, on reception). They, and others have been great advisers to first-time visitors. Other staff were excellent in minor interactions. Our only complaint would be about the delay with check-in procedures, but that was soon dismissed by us. We will be back... "We (Elderly parents + adult daughter) stayed at La Loma for 2 weeks in Sep 2024. Overall it was an enjoyable stay and we had a good time with fantastic weather. Good Points: 1. An attractive villa in a great setting; Stunning views and good walks (mostly on the roads). 2. Good hot water. 3. Traffic on the mountain roads always drove slowly (circa 30 KPH) and were always very friendly. 4. Good walking on the local roads and tracks. Less Good Points 1. NO WiFi !! 2. Swimming Pool looks bigger in the photos that it actually is. In addition NOT child friendly as no shallow end and min depth is approx 1.5m. Also very visable to surrounding area due to its height. 3. No Villa File - General Instructions, Emergency contacts, Supermarkets, Areas of Interest, local recommended restaurants, etc. Check in consisted only of unlocking the doors and photographing passports! No advice on rubbish disposal or recycling rules/requirements. No written Instructions on how to get to the villa; Only a google map 'Pin Drop' Whats App Message. Fortunately our daughter (and now I can) was able to sort this! 4. Furnishings limited - no bedroom chairs; one bedroom with 2 x double beds had no furniture at all apart from the beds; bedsite lights very low powered. Fans noisey. Cutlery limited; No coffee or Tea pots. 5, External/Pool furniture very limited for a villa supposedly accomodating 9 people (in reality 7) and loungers very uncomfortable. Also, the flower pots shown in the photos, are no longer ar"

"Absolutely lovely stay, very comfortable room and bed, lovely private terrace, this is a rustic guesthouse with lovely elements, little courtyard, breakfast room, great self check in, plunge pool was sadly empty as we would have loved a dip as it was hot but I assume it's out of season. All in all a very chilled and comfortable stay "

"Amazing house, pool and multiple areas to sit and relax and enjoy the incredible views. The house had everything you needed to make it feel like home and the gas barbecue was a bonus. The location manager was very friendly, polite and efficient. Can't really find anything negative to say and it is certainly on our list of places we would go back to. "We had a fabulous family holiday at what was a clean and modern apartment with all the mod-cons that you could ask for. The views across the mountains were truly spectacular because of the elevated position and we would never get sick of them, and the terrace at the rear is amazing, day and night! The side road in was an eye opener but you just need to take it easy (Dont turn right out of the villa unless 'you literally live on the edge' :-) Doris who owns the property was wonderful, couldnt do enough for us, gave lots of local info and was on hand to clean the pool after some high winds that blew leaves and dust in. The pool was great and we all spent a lot of time in it. All in all it was a brilliant stay, we didnt want to leave and this property is recommended. Tip - Best to use the supermarkets in Velez, as MUCH cheaper than nearby. Thanks Dori"

"Lovely villa, clean and tidy. There are some areas that would significantly improve the villa such as AC throughout, or ceiling fans. The bedrooms were very hot. The pool became dirty and cloudy very quickly. Perhaps a mid week clean / check would resolve that. "

"This is a lovely property set in what for us was an ideal location. A quiet street in a quiet Spanish village with amazing views across the reservoir to the valley beyond. It is the best equipped property we've rented and we loved that the owner does not have everything swept out of the cupboards. So we found non-perishables such as herbs and spices, oils and vinegars in the cupboard. A quick check of expiry dates and we could use what we needed and then replace if necessary. Much less wasteful. If you're looking for the razzmatazz of the resorts on the coast then this isn't the property for you. If you're looking to kick back, relax by the pool and have an authentic Spanish experience then you will be happy here. The village shop sells just about everything and the walk up the hill means you can enjoy your Spanish breakfast knowing you've earned it. Just a note that the property is on three levels, so it's not for those with mobility issues."

"This Villa is much larger than the photos convey. The property itself was great value for money, however the owner really needs to invest a little money in places. Some of the tiles in the pool came loose. The sun loungers, parasols & cushions are all very old & weather worn & really need updating but that is all that let it down but for the price we paid for 11 of us we cant really complain. Its such a stunning location & it met all of our needs as a family, we had a great time. It is remote so you will need a car. The villa ownwr is lovely & showed us in & where everything was. He doesnt speak English though however we figured it out with the help of google translate."
