"Good stay. Area 15 mins from Malaga so great if you have a car and not fussed to stay in city. Lots of free parking around the hotel. Had a great cafe in reception. Checkin lad was great. Female in cafe on evening not too friendly. The girl and gent in the morning in cafe were fabulous! Hotel room was very good. Beds and pillows excellent! Not much around the area of the hotel . "

"Fantastic location to get out and about on the train. About a 20 minute walk to the city centre. Massive bed, big bath towels - bit disappointing to see that tea, coffee and milk wasnt replenished daily. Good breakfast, but the hot food was a little on the cold side. Would stay again though."

"Perfect location, we walked all around the without any need of transportation. Hotel pool was good, we enjoyed it with our kid. Breakfast was very nice and had many options. All the reception staff was very kind and helpfull."

"Everything was excellent, the hotel is beautiful and the staff very friendly. Victor in front desk guided us through the map and gave us recommendations. A little noisy in the night but that wasn’t a problem for us, we will gladly come back! "

"The rooms are "minimalist" to such a degree that they do not have wardrobes as such. It was a metal bar hung from the ceiling. This is open to the room and is above the table . To my mind poorly designed. Basically, your clothes are left in the open on a clothes horse as such. I liked the hotel but for this reason will not be returning. On the positive side the staff are brilliant, friendly and very helpful. "

The perfect villa in a stunning location

"The location is excellent and view is just stunning! We could end the review there, however we would be doing the villa a disservice. The villa is inviting, beautiful, modern, clean and has all the amenities you need to make you instantly feel at home. The pool was very inviting and a bonus on a hot day…. of which there were many! The location is great, you have easy access to at least four villages within a 15 minute drive, Cómpeta being the largest. All are worth a visit as there are some excellent restaurants in Árchez, Canillas de Albaida and Cómpeta. Although some of the reviews mention the challenging access road to the villa, we were not too concerned as we have encountered worse. When you arrive at the villa and check out the view it is so worth it, and at night it is transformed once again, the sky is beautiful and the stars are plentiful. Gary, Carl and the preparation team were excellent and worked hard to accommodate our changing travel plans, for which we are so grateful. The pictures do not do the villa justice. We are already looking to book again for June 2025."

"We had a great stay here, all as described, well equipped with the air con and WiFi working well. Pool was so nice and well used - definitely needed in August. 11km from the motorway, the road is winding, and then 1.5km off the road to the Villa, all very straightforward to get to on good roads. Close to Competa, which has small supermarkets, restaurants and a great ice cream shop!"

Cómpeta Rural - Casa La Vereda by Ruralidays

The perfect bolt hole

"Set high on a hill, at the end of a quiet track casa vereda commands the most astonishing views down the valley and out to sea. The smell of hot pine needles was delicious. This traditional Spanish house had everything we needed when we wanted to stay at home. Comfy sofa and beds, a crystal clean pool, good air con for the couple of nights there wasn't a breeze, and excellent water pressure in the shower. It's the little things! We didn't do much during our stay, but the local village of competa is a 10 minute drive and has everything you need to experience village Spanish life, or pick a souvenir up in the Saturday market. Competa is chocolate box beautiful. A little further on, there are start points for mountain walks. We were in flip flops so only climbed a main track to the top of a hill after following a stream for a while in the shade and coolness, but even that was rewarding. I think we'll be back 💖 This"

"We had a lovely time. The house met our expectations perfectly. The area is quiet and friendly, perfect for a peaceful holiday. The villa itself is lovely, has everything you'd expect. The pool and pool area exceeded our expectations, and we spent the majority of our time there. Our kids loved it."

"Beautiful place! The location is stunning and the hotel itself is lovely with a relaxed vibe and wonderful breakfasts. The optional extra of yoga in the morning was a great addition. The owners and staff are so kind and friendly, they give great recommendations about what to do/where to eat (no lunch/evening meals in the accommodation itself). We booked very last minute and had a couple of travel issues, but via their handy WhatsApp communication they were incredibly accommodating for us. We booked the smallest room but this was still plenty big enough and the main shared terrace space is perfect. As the hotel has only a few rooms we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves at times! "

New holiday home with fireside, central heating, palm trees and pool

Lovely Finca, with stunning views

"Spacious and comfortable Finca with the most amazing views! Fully equipped with everything you would need during your stay. The location is very rural, so consider this before booking, for us it was perfect, we got to completely relax and switch off for the whole 2 weeks. The gardens are well maintained and very pretty. The hosts were lovely, came to clean the pool and water the plants a few times during our stay but always informed us when they were coming and went about their business without impossing at all. Highlight of the holiday for my daughter was Heinz taking her out on one of his horses, so thank you again for that Heinz, it was a great experience for her, one she really enjoyed. If we ever decide to visit Andalucia again, this will be the first place we look for accomodation, the only dissapointment of the holiday was having to leave."
