"It was in a beautiful setting and the staff were nice and generally professional. My worry is that someone called me witj a 1 (USA) number, claiming to be from Expedia and asking for my credit card details. I found that truly worrisome. How did the person know I had booked? You need to look into that."

"The property was absolutely beautiful. It was truly a living paradise. They kept the grounds and the pool very well maintained. They service the rooms daily, if you request it, meaning fresh linen on a daily basis. The property was absolutely perfect. However, it paled in comparison to the staff. The staff went above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and at home. They honestly didn't seem to be able to do enough for you. "First visited nearly 30 years ago and have stayed several times since. It's a lovely hotel for a short stay and it has an amazing staff. The facilities are excellent, great for young families and can be lively in the evenings (ask for a room away from the music in need). The restaurants are all open attracting monkies, crows and sparrows so some surfaces are likely not very clean but generally not a nuisance. The hotel's reputation is well-deserved."

"Modern hotel with large pool and a good selection of restaurants. Good view of the city especially at dawn and sunset. There is a beach but not sure about water quality. Pool was good but a shower in the changing room would be useful. Room fairly small but well equipped. Glass door and window to the bathroom is ok for privacy but the light wakes the other occupant at night Not cheap but worth the cost "

"Good enough to be right in the heart of mombasa. Walkable to mombasa mall. Great patio entertainment every night. Just the main reception charges extras for guests. My other hotel didn’t do it so it must be a company decision to do that. $2000 ksh per night. That’s a lot compared to booking for 2 travellers when booking. "

"Place had some age but it was still very charming and had a great view overlooking the water from our front sitting veranda. Breakfast left a little to be desired and are checking experience wasn't the best has it seemed like maybe the front staff was having a bad day. "We loved the room. It was a three bedroom pent house and it included a balcony view overlooking the ocean. I did not want to leave. I plan to come back and stay for a full week. Loved everything about our room and the staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. "

"The property was absolutely beautiful. It was truly a living paradise. They kept the grounds and the pool very well maintained. They service the rooms daily, if you request it, meaning fresh linen on a daily basis. The property was absolutely perfect. However, it paled in comparison to the staff. The staff went above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and at home. They honestly didn't seem to be able to do enough for you. My fiancé and I, at one point, we're having a conversation about how they made us, just she and I, feel special. We knew (and could see) they treated everyone the same, but we still felt as if we were being singled out as their favorite couple. Severin Sea Lodge was the perfect location for our vacation, but the staff gave us a home. To the staff, I just want to say, Thank You for a perfect three weeks!"
