"On the property lives 2 roosters which are very loud (and beautifull). And you have to feed them otherwise they will scream non stop. They start to beg for food around 4 am. Plus there is no hot water in sinks which makes living very uncomfortable (no dishwasher as well). If you want to have a nice shower - forget about it! Showers have electrical warmers and you have to use small water presser to make it work. We got no hot water in both bathrooms when we arrived. Later shower was fixed in...

"This place was great. Extremely close to the cloud forest reserve. The property manager went above and beyond. We got a home made breakfast brought to us every morning that was delicious. She arranged adventures for us to partake in nearby and followed up when a shuttle didn't arrive as previously scheduled. We had a wonderful experience at this property and highly recommend booking with Christina and supporting a Costa Rican if you are visiting Monteverde!!! You won't be disappointed."

"Suwa Villa Arenal is one of the best places at which I have stayed! We had four guests and stayed for four nights in mid-March. Beautiful rooms with an outdoor patio and chairs, and A/C. Very clean and fully stocked communal kitchen, with a super cute and lush lounge area on the side. There are laundry machines available to use, with 2 free detergent pods provided. "This place is so beautiful! All the rainforest jungle landscaping is phenomenal. The location is perfect in the middle of all activities and the view of the volcano is the best. We had both a sunny day, cloudy and rainy day and all were great there. The hot springs are well shaded from sun and rain. The buffet breakfast is great and my kids loved the nachos, burgers and wood-Fire pizza at the bar. Their Asian salad was amazing as well! I was happy with the prices being very reasonable - $10-$12 meals. My daughter and I even shared a pizza a couple times so that was a $6 meal for us each. I was surprised it didn’t feel crowded, even during spring break. "
