"My husband and I truly enjoyed our 4 nights at Gumbo Limbo. It’s a nature-lovers paradise, but so much more. Our honeymoon cabana was spacious with a comfortable bed and linens to die for…the bathroom was large and everything was well-appointed and clean. It was luxury jungle living without any pretentiousness. The grounds and pool area are truly exquisite— and though Christine, the host, would say there is so much more they want to do with the property, I would argue at this affordable price point— Gumbo Limbo is absolutely perfect just the way it is. This was our first trip to Belize with our primary goal to experience the amazing Mayan ruins and get a quick taste of the San Ignacio area— we did that and look forward to a return trip (staying at Gumbo Limbo) where we can do a deeper dive into the culture. "This is one of the best places I ever stayed at. If you like a rainforest, / jungle setting, then this is by far one of the most peaceful, beautiful areas you could go to. Amazing staff and a overall fantastic experience. I picked it from expedia, and I am very glad I did. The grounds are beyond amazing, with its flora and beautiful pool and cabins. Nothing could have been better and I will be returning soon."

"I don't typically write reviews but I have to hand it to the staff at the Blancaneaux Lodge. Flawless service, kind, friendly and helpful at all times, in every area of the resort. The place is truly magical, and their incredible staff are the secret sauce. The property is top notch, but warm and authentic, not ostentatious or showy. My family felt immediately at home. "Excellent stay here. The seclusion in the forest is a major plus. Best mixed drinks I had during my whole stay in Belize, including on Ambergris Caye. Food was excellent and home cooked. When looking back on this trip, I'll remember our great time here. Was very relaxing and felt authentic. Pool was smaller but nice. Staff is small, and very courteous and attentive. Rooms and the restaurant was very clean.. also a small gift shop on site was nice. The bungalos were very neat with a nice fans and air conditioning. Choosing this lodge was the best decision I made on our trip. "
