"Beautiful property, lovely experience but also not what we expected. I would consider this more of a working ranch than a resort, as we felt like it's more setup for locals to Belmopan and cowboys than it is to the average traveler. Nice food, good overall value. Kind of a strange cowboy guy who apparently owns the property who was a little overly friendly to my girlfriend out of the blue. However seems that locals love him and have good things to say. If you're up for something a bit different...

"Receipt from Expedia stated ' check in open 10 am onwards'. Arrived by taxi at 10. Whole place locked up and deserted with sign saying ' back at six'. Found another hotel but el ray was very resistant to refund. Tried hard to keep my money only gave in after heavy pressure from Expedia customer service. In addition hotel is bizarrely located out in a suburban street near to absolutely no amenities....all things considered ASTONISHED this place still in business "

Offering dinner suggestions and even sitting with us in the morning at breakfast to ensure everything was great. The grounds were probably the most beautiful we stayed at in all Belize. "The amenities advertised about the hotel certainly does not meet the standard for the type of facility it is advertised to be. Furthermore, this facility is advertised as a resort, but hardly meets the standard of a bed and breakfast. The swimming pool was empty, Wi-Fi service was only partially available (perhaps about 50% of the time), and failure to respect the do not disturb sign outside the door. The structural state of the facility is an incomplete off the beaten path concept of a resort...
