"The service at Oberoi is warm and attentive. English is well spoken. The hotel public spaces are breathtaking and serene. My room had a beautiful view. At the outside bar, sunsets and cocktails were brilliant. Early in the morning, it was nice to cross the street, Marine Drive, to sit on the seawall and watch the day begin. "Far better stay than the rating and booking site scores would suggest. Very polite, helpful, happy, attentive staff who can do enough for you. The hotel is clean, tidy, and a very pleasant stay. Great value for money with breakfast and all day long hot beverages included. Anything chargeable is priced reasonably. The area is great and close to CSM gothic station and only a short walk through the hubbub of Fort to Colaba and the tourist hot spots. Well worth the stay and will use again."

"Nice room and clean, the main building doesnt look that impressive but when you get to the 3rd floor there is a step up in quality. The rooftop bar and restaurant was convenient and provided great views. A number of attractions were within a short walk including the gateway to India and Taj Hotel. Only downside was our room was next to reception so was a bit noisy at times when trying to sleep"

Brilliant hotel rich in culture & history!

"Amazing hotel from start to end! Even though we were there for just a day, the entire experience was great. A landmark hotel with rich culture and history, and the service and interactions with the staff were brilliant throughout. On the day of check-out we used the hotel as our base as our flight was very late in the evening and the hotel were very accommodating for us to make the most of the day and remain fresh. We kept our luggage with the hotel team, relaxed in the lobby and bar. We even asked if we could freshen up and because we were guests they allowed us to use the gym and shower facilities which was very important for us before heading to the airport for a 10 hours flight, especially as we had spent the whole day in the humidity of Mumbai outdoors. "

Recommend the Gordon Hotel

"We had a lovely stay at the Gordon Hotel. It was 2 blocks to the Gateway to India, and easy to walk anywhere. Never felt unsafe. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pillows were comfortable. We especially liked the restaurant on the main floor. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and a very good price. We had breakfast every morning and enjoyed the fresh fruit and fresh juices. We loved that it included Indian options and enjoyed the buffet as well as the menu. We also had both lunch and room service. Both delicious. Overall I’d love to stay there again. "
