"Thrilled with our stay at Portage Ponds this weekend. The house is comfortably and thoughtfully furnished, and the additional touches of the s'mores bar and the firewood helped make the weekend feel special. The property more than lived up to the pictures and, although we kept together on our short weekend, there are enough different spaces on the property to allow a group to spread out a bit. Our group occupied four of the five bedrooms and everyone commented how comfortable their rooms...

"A nice quiet area. A lot roomier than we thought it would be. Very clean and Aimee was quick to respond to my questions. We would definitely stay there again."

"The place was overall comfortable, but left a little to be desired in expectation. It's the shoulder season and freezing at night. We didn't arrive until after dark and it was 53 inside. I was raised not to go to sleep with electric space heaters on, but that seemed to be the only working provision. The gas did not appear to be turned on"

"Overall we were happy with our stay. Beginning started out a little annoying. Check in was easy but wasnt communicated until a half hour after we were able to be there and had to call for the code. Walking in, the floor didnt look vacuumed and beds looked unmade/slept in. We spent the first hour remaking beds (clean sheets were in the dryer), vacuuming (we have a crawler who puts everything in her mouth), and getting rid of all the daddy long legs that were posted up towards the ceiling....

"We enjoyed our stay . The beds were comfortable. A plus is that there is coffee and a smores starter pack with firewood for the fire pit.Plenty of parking in the back yard. House was clean plenty of dishes and cups , could use some more pots and pans but we made do very well from what was there. Three bathrooms and plenty of beds. Communication was very good. The Dunkirk Pier is down the street. Not far to stores. We will return 😃"

"The house was amazing! Beautiful, comfortable, super clean. We loved it! Perfect location, we went to nearby wineries (loved Johnson Estate winery) and Lake Erie. Highly recommend this house!"

"The house at Bemus Point was exactly as the pictured portrayed, but better. The complete renovation was extremely well done, with quality materials and fixtures. The aesthetics made us feel right at home, and the location can't be beat. We wil definitely consider another trip to thislocation and to this home--can't wait to se the great otdoor space."

Walking distance to restaurants, Lakeside Park, the Chautauqua Belle, and the best ice cream on the lake! We highly recommend this charming home. The hosts are so welcoming and always available to answer questions. Absolutely the best experience we’ve ever had!!...

"Liked the location on the lake. Easy to visit the other towns. Steps to the 2nd floor were a little steep for 3 70+ year olds but we managed. Owners were very accommodating and timely communication."
