"We booked through hotels.com, but we booked a triple room, as it was cheapest option for a couple and a 20 year old daughter. On check in, there was not a triple room, rather than cancel us, they gave us 2 twins, much to the delight of all of us. Very friendly. Thank you"

Particularly the lady who served us as breakfast, she was so kind and great to chat to. Great location with beautiful views and easy access to walks in the surrounding area. "We enjoyed our 1 night stay at Tyn-y-Coed - the location is excellent for walking from the doorstep and the parking is great. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and had good storage. The addition of a drying line in the bathroom is a super idea. We loved the styling of decor in reception and the bar/restaurant and enjoyed the Snowdon Lager on draught. We look forward to visiting again. "

"We stayed in one of the Stable lodges in the annexe. It was ok adjacent to the main hotel. Breakfast was good but expensive. It is an ok place to stay."

"I arrived early but was able to access my room straight away. I was initially told that my room still had to be paid for but I had prepaid. This was resolved quickly however. The hotel is conveniently located on a regular bus route and I took the opportunity to visit Blaenau Ffestiniog 20 minutes away. The evening meal was excellent with plenty of choice on the menu. My room was fine and extremely comfortable. Some slight traffic noise as it was at the front of the property."

"The hotel is definitely in need of a refurbishment but it is in an ideal location on the High Street and only a few minutes walk to Bala Lake. All the staff were helpful and friendly, especially Tony, the chef, who cooked us a lovely breakfast too. All in all, we had a lovely short break here. "
