This was our second time staying at the Crown Hotel. We very much enjoy staying here. It’s super easy to access other parts of Northern Wales from her, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff very accommodating. The room was great too.
This a lovely spot a few miles out of Llangollen. We were greeted warmly by staff who helped with us everything we needed. Everything we needed was in the room and breakfast was fab! Would certainly return.
This small hotel is very clean, the breakfast was complete and good, the apartment was big, very clean and we had all we needed.
I will definitly book again next time I am around Corwen.
Very much recommended.
Very pleasant owners, willing and happy to help with any issues we had. Clean and well furnished room. Complementary snacks. The breakfast eating area was full of fantastic period features.
We stayed in the two bedroom apartment/family room which had two bathrooms, very comfortable beds plus a fridge and kitchen area. We loved it. Unfortunately neither television worked, but this is the only negative. Breakfast was included which was an added bonus.

Old, but nice
Nice markettown. Fantastic staff at the old hotel. Very brittisk in standard.
This was such a lovely hotel. Very clean, and the room was so comfortable. The owners are so so kind and nothing is too much. The breakfast is brilliant, and you’re given filter coffee and fresh toast as soon as you sit down. The value for money is amazing. I would stay here again and again. Thank you so much!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was spotless and well equipped. Very friendly and helpful staff at breakfast time. The location was perfect for what we wanted being very convenient for Llangollen, Pont Cysyllte aqueduct, Bala and Oswestry.

Hotel is a perfect stop over for the night however anyone over 6 foot might struggle as its a very old building with lots crammed in, as a result the layout is awkard to say the least. But that being said its clean, the bar didnt appear to open at all so if you hoping for a drink in the evening you have to wonder elsewhere.
The Crown Hotel has a certain charm. It is not the Ritz but the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and perfectly adequate for our requirements.
Clean room with tea and coffee facilities. The simple breakfast was enough for us and not over facing. Had a curry at the local Indian in the village .
Greeted with a smile, helpful & polite staff. We booked the budget double, small but cosy. Had heating, TV, lovely comfy bed, small bathroom with shower, toilet & sink. Nice surprise at breakfast with hot English breakfast along with continental meats plus cereals & pastries, also proper coffee. Location great being on the town high street. Old wooden beams on ground floor along with breakfast area giving off 16th century couch house vibes.
We stayed for 1 night. It was lovely and clean/spotless in the apartment we had with everything we needed...don't be put off with the slightly and I mean slightly tired exterior. The breakfast was amazing with lots of choices and the hosts were very helpful. My only real issue was that the communication was difficult as they didn't speak very clear English/Welsh but they really made up for that in willingness to please.
Locals were friendly too.
We would definitely stay again.
The car park is small but can fit 4 cars. The reception of the hotel is welcoming. The 4 person suite /room is located outside of the main hotel where the old garage was. Our room was a good size and both the bedroom and living space had a large tv. The bathroom is a good size but could do with hooks too hang clothes. The room also had a kitchenette which was useful, unfortunately the microwave had not been cleaned resulting in food from a previous visitor being moulting. Staff were quick to remove this when pointed out.
