"I stayed here with my family and we were fairly shocked regarding the service we received throughout our stay. First of all, I counted 18 hairs in the bathtub when checking into our room, the bathroom clearly hadn’t been touched. My family and I had booked 4 rooms at the hotel. We all noticed that none of our rooms had been ‘restocked’ when they had been cleaned. For example, no cups or amenities around the kettle biscuits, tea/ coffee, sugar etc were replaced. The bin also hadn’t been touched and we had to take the rubbish down ourselves. It felt like the staff who ‘cleaned’ the rooms done the bare minimum. Considering we paid well over £1,000 to stay here, that wasn’t much to ask. The fact this hotel calls itself 4* is beyond me, whoever is rating this as a 4* needs to seriously re-evaluate it, or at least get a second opinion. The breakfast was hit and miss, we were led to believe it was a ‘help yourself buffet’. The food was good, pastries were fresh overall it was okay. The following morning, no breakfast was out. Various staff members appeared uncertain of what was going on. We voiced our concerns by this point to a woman on the desk, she was helpful and was quick to help restock our rooms and apologised for the confusion. Overall, this hotel was a complete letdown, how they can call themselves 4* is beyond me. If you want a basic level of customer care I’d look elsewhere. The left hand doesn’t seem to know what the right hand is doing. "

"An enjoyable weekend break, the room was very spacious with a large bathroom and powerful shower. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a self service breakfast was available with cereals, bread for toasting (there was also bacon, scambled egg and beans available). There was off road parking on site for all those staying there. The booking in process prior to arrival was very clear and concise"

"Lovely guest house with a warm and welcoming host!… very much enjoyed my stay and everything was perfect. Cosy and comfortable clean room, with all the necessary facilities (plenty of tea/coffee/milk/sugar) to make many cups! Not like hotels in which you’re lucky to get 2. The room was nice and warm, with extra radiators which I was thankful for as I do feel the cold easy, so I felt very cosy! Bed was comfortable and shower was nice and hot. No dips in water temperature. Nice touch with mini shampoo/body washes. The picnic breakfasts included were brilliant! They consisted of banana, cereal bar, yoghurt, chocolate muffin and an orange juice box, which was perfect for me - especially when on the go! 👌 There is also a little kitchen/breakfast area downstairs which consisted of cutlery/plates etc for your personal use. A microwave, and extra tea/coffee/sugar/milk, bottled water (you also receive this in your room, and diluted juice. The area is quiet, there are some pubs around the village, and the drive to this guest house is beautiful!… If you are looking to explore the area, it’s in a fantastic location for biking/walking/hiking. You receive a key for your room and one for the front door, which is very useful when coming in late at night, so you don’t disturb anyone and let yourself in. I was very impressed for the price! "Had a lovely break. The house was amazing and in a good location for plenty of walks. The only thing I would say is that the local town doesn’t really have much going on."

"This property is definitely value for money. It is close to lots of things to do with the family in north wales. The house is not where Google maps thinks it is so make sure you follow the instructions from the property manager. And the payment don’t go through from VRBO to the property manager but that was sorted swiftly. The house itself is as described, kitchen was well equipped, the living room was big enough for the 7 of us and the bedrooms were perfect for a short stay. Overall we enjoyed our 4 days in north wales. "

"Wonderful location. The cottage was warm and cosy and had everything we needed apart from a tin opener. Some of the baking trays were well worn. The beds were extremely comfortable. Parking was an issue and on arrival in the village a very rude woman told us there was only parking for their guests and nowhere for anyone else. "
