"Service is excellent- staff are friendly and helpful. Room is quite spacious. Breakfast is basic, as in most minsu. Hotel is rather old and bedroom floor is rather dusty. No hand soap or hand towels provided. Location is right next to the Ita Thaoqlake and just 3 minutes walk to old street and pier. Room rates pricey considering the condition of the room and facilities."

"I stayed 5 nights during a cold spell (Low 50s-F at night). Location is great but a bit hard to find inside a small lane. Staff was friendly and prompt with service, especially if you connect with them on Line. Like most hotels in Taiwan there was no heater in the room, but they provided an extra comforter which helped. "Great customer service! They are very helpful to guests, and it is a unique guesthouse with lots of wood and art. It is right around the corner from the Sun Moon village night market. There are a few resort villages around the lake, but this one is the closest to the cable car that goes to the Aboriginal Culture Park. The cable car is walking distance (and worth the ride), but you can also rent bicycles or electric bicycles very affordably near the hotel and get around easily."

"One of the best ways to meet local people is to stay in a place like this. The owner was very friendly and helpful, collecting us from and taking us back to the station. The property was very clean and comfortable and located in a residential area. There was a go-kart centre opposite but not an issue. "This place was so difficult to find and get to because it is located in a very narrow alley. Parking space was extremely small. The owner's attitude was rude! on top of that the bed size was wrong. The owner told me that they never had a king size bed. the information online was false!! the room is tiny as well. Please do yourself a favor and DON'T book here. "

"the place is restored 1931 house. a lot of care went into getting it fixed to the original "Japanese era" style. It's pretty much the same as the pictures. However, at the check in, we ran into a major snags.
