"One of the best places that I have stayed! Staying at the hotel is like staying w. extended family. It is small and intimate and very well run. I can honestly say that I have never had a room so well cleaned! We had a 2 bedroom suite and it was affordable & very spacious and comfortable. "Very basic. Like renting a room at someone’s home. Living area was not pretty but room is functional. No air conditioning. One set of towels for 4 days. It’s super cheap "

"When arrived it seemed that they were overbooked. Our studio was given to someone else. The replacement studio they gave us was terrible. A studio with 3 beds present. No table, no chairs, no curtains in street level bedroom, no towels, no hot water, reserved parking lot not available. No refund suggested or a gesture for the inconvenience. Bad hospitality."

"The pictures on the website are misleading. The hotel rooms look nothing like the pictures. The towels were very dingy looking and very old. The bedding looked like it had been washed by putting it in a sink. The shower had grime in the corners and where you had to stand. there was no shower curtain so when you showered the bathroom floor would be a giant puddle when you were done. "I stayed in the apartments leased by the hotel; and while the apartment was clean and the staff friendly, it is not a typical hotel stay. I found the environment pleasing and in a good location around Universidad de Costa Rica. If you are looking for a traditional hotel, the apartments at this hotel are not your best option. If you are looking for a short term apartment while in San Jose, it is perfect because it offers the benefits of a kitchen, which will allow you to save on food expenses...

"The Prado was very good The only thing that I did not like about it was the neighborhood it was in it seems to be in a lot for some sort of construction place I don't know exactly what that was but anyway the hotel was clean the staff was friendly the breakfast was okay I have had better but it wasn't bad overall it was pretty good neighborhood was the only thing that I didn't care for"
