"The photos made the space look great. In person, it was less impressive but overall a good experience. We still liked the layout of the room. But the bed is a little too soft, and the bedding well used. The name is not on the outside of the building, so it was a little confusing. They did send a photo of the door with the room access info that hadn't downloaded on my phone. Technically on the fifth floor, but there is an Entresol floor before the first floor - 120 stairs up. "Package got delivered to hotel. Hôtel told us that they did not receive a package and nothing was in the mailbox. When we checked in the package was in their mailbox and the lady at the front desk (aka the owner) said, “oh yea, I didn’t check the mailbox, it’s just easier to tell people that we don’t accept packages or didn’t get them.” That cost us an extra $4k on our trip. "The villa is huge and was spotlessly clean on arrival. There was everything we needed for a self catering break. The pool was beautiful as were the grounds. The real stand out for us though was the view, the best of anywhere I have ever stayed. The road up to the villa was steep and narrow but there are lots of passing places and we soon got the hang of it. Communication from Roger was excellent both before and during our stay.
