"2nd trip to Shasta and stayed in the Whitney Cottage again. Everything is so homey and the cottage has everything you will need for a wonderful and comfortable stay. The host is awesome and is very quick to respond if you have a question. There is a wonderful notebook there with information on anything you might want to do in Shasta. The hiking information is particularly comprehensive. I'll definitely be back."

"Stayed for a long weekend for daughter’s birthday ski weekend. Easy 20 minute drive to the slopes. The hot tub was awesome at the end of the day. It is on a busy main road and trains are chugging by too, but didn’t bother us or our guests. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable unless you’re sitting on the sectional (lumpy doesn’t even begin to describe)we had an awesome time though and would definitely stay again "

"Plenty of room for 4 of us. The upstairs bedroom has an en suite bathroom, which I don't think is listed on the posting, but is a really nice-to-have. Follow up communication with the owner/property manager about personal items left behind by mistake was not responded to, unfortunately. Otherwise, a great experience!"

"This historical house is gorgeous and well maintained. It has a real old world feel to it, yet very comfortable. Location is absolutely superb - within an easy walk from downtown restaurants, and very close to skiing areas.We had a wonderful time."

"This was the perfect setting for our family Christmas. Going above and beyond, our hosts set up a Christmas tree and even had a sweet gift under the tree when we arrived. Our backdrop for Christmas was the beautiful Mt. Shasta. The home was well set-up for our needs of cooking many meals and Christmas dinner as well. "We stayed here for our annual snowboarding trip and the home was perfect for us. Not far from downtown, but in a quiet area. We had plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 kids. The kitchen is well stocked and we appreciated all the little extras!"
